Project Tree Fiddy
Creating a Community Space for Alton, IL

Why “Project Tree Fiddy”?
We’re asking everyone to pitch in just $3.50 — the cost of a coffee — to help us hit our fundraising goals. If everyone gives a little, we can do a lot.
Our Vision
CATco — Cultural, Agronomic, and Technological Community — is on a mission to create a sustainable, inclusive hub for creativity, learning, and affordable living. Our first major undertaking? Transforming a historic convent and its 25 acres of land in Alton, Illinois into a thriving community center with free membership, shared resources, and affordable housing.

The Place
Our future home is the former Ursuline Convent, a 35,000 sq. ft., three-story building rich with history. Set on over 25 acres of mostly level land, the property includes:
- Kitchen facilities
- Dorm rooms & classrooms
- Gathering spaces & a chapel
- Workshop areas
- Garage, laundry, and more
This beautiful site offers endless possibilities — from gardens and maker-spaces to affordable apartments and event spaces.
How You Can Help
- Donate $3.50 or more to Project Tree Fiddy.
- Share our mission with your friends, family, and community.
- Volunteer your skills, knowledge, or time.
Our Promise
We believe in creating a space where you don’t have to spend money to belong. A place where you can simply exist, create, and connect. Where collective effort replaces individual struggle, and where the future is built together — one Tree Fiddy at a time.
